The PANTONE Fashion Color Report is created every season after a team from the Pantone Color Institute analyzes the colors featured by designers during New York Fashion Week. In 2017, for the first time, Pantone decided to add in their fall colors report the colors featured by designers during London Fashion Week.
The colors used by designers during New York Fashion Week and the colors used during London Fashion Week are similar, however, there are noticeable differences between the shades and the color combination used during the fashion weeks that took place in these two cities.

The color scheme presented by designers during New York Fashion included some neutral navy blue and grey shades but also some seasonal shades of red, burgundy, green and blue. Some colors are more vibrant and powerful while others are more tamed and neutral but when combined they create amazing fall outfits.
Grenadine
Grenadine is a vibrant red shade that is perfect for youthful outfits. This red shade is perfect for making fashion statements that are season-appropriate.
Tawny Port
Tawny Port is another red hue but this time a darker and more elegant one. Tawny Port looks like a mix of burgundy and dark purple and it is perfect for sophisticated daytime outfits or elegant evening outfits.
Ballet Slipper
Ballet Slipper is another shade that descended from the color red that looks like a combination of light pink and lilac. Ballet Slipper looks great when combined with the red shades included in the fall 2017 color trends for a vibrant and youthful outfit but it also looks great with the neutral hues for a more sophisticated and feminine outfit.
Butterum
Inspired by the hot buttered rum drink, Butterum is a warm shade of brown that also has some orange hues in it. Butterum is perfect for casual, cozy fall outfits.
Navy Peony
The first neutral shade on the list, Navy Peony is a solid color shade similar to navy blue but a little lighter and softer than it. Navy Peony is the go-to neutral shade of the season and it looks amazing with all the other fall colors for both elegant and casual outfits.
Neutral Gray
Neutral Grey is the second neutral color of the season and it can be used as an accent in fall outfits but it also looks amazing on its own in one color outfits.
Shaded Spruce
Shaded Spruce is a dark shade of green that has numerous blue hues in it. The shade was inspired by the evergreen trees. Shaded Spruce can be incorporated in fall outfits in numerous ways but we think a dress in this color will look particularly amazing.
Golden Lime
Golden Lime is a yellow-green type of shade that has earthy tones. This shade looks great in daytime outfits and it looks great when combined with various shades included in the fall color report.
Marina
Marina is a fresh and bright shade of blue, perfect for vibrant and chic outfits.
Autumn Maple
Probably the most autumnal shade included in the fall 2017 color trends, Autumn Maple is a warm orange-brown and reddish brown color.

The fall 2017 color trends from the runaways in London include more warm and subtle shades than the New York trends and there are no dark reds or greens but we think the colors from both cities look amazing together.
Flame Scarlet
Grenadine was the powerful red in the New York Colors Report and flame red is the powerful red in the London report but perfect for the same kind of outfits as Grenadine.
Primrose Pink
Ballet Slipper was replaced by Primrose Pink in London. This soft shade of pink is very feminine and it looks amazing with neutral colors of with dark reds such as burgundy.
Toast
Toast is a warm color that looks like a combination of powdered pink and light brown. Toast is perfect for warm, casual outfits.
Bluebell
The equivalent of Marina in London is Bluebell, a light blue that is more peaceful than the New York Shade. Bluebell looks amazing with Navy Peony for classic outfits and it creates amazing seasonal outfits when combined with Lemon Curry.
Royal Lilac
Royal Lilac is a beautiful shade of lilac purple that connects all the colors in the report. It looks great with all the other colors of the palette for different outfit styles – casual, elegant, daytime or nighttime outfits.
Otter
Otter is an earthy color that can be incorporated in casual fall outfits with ease.
Navy Peony
Navy Peony is the same go-to neutral shade in London palette like it was in the New York palette.
Copper Tan
Copper Tan is a warm shade of powdered pink that has just a tiny bit more of red in it and more warmth. It looks amazing with some of the shades in the London 2017 fall colors but also with some of the New York ones.
Lemon Curry
Lemon Curry looks like the color of fall leaves that can be found on the ground during the season. This warm shade looks amazing in casual fall outfits but also in outfits that are more put together.
Golden Olive
Golden Olive is a yellow-green type of shade that has some earthy accents added to it. A great pair for Toast and Otter but also for some dark reds.
